When using these websites, I hope that you will use them in a way that is resourceful. One suggestion for using technology for Math is using it as a transition into Math or into other activities. This way, children are practicing the skills that they learned. Another suggestion, is to use technology to help teach respect for others and their property. This way children will learn to understand that everything will not always be theirs, and sharing/respecting will help create a better enviroment. Lastly, my third suggestion is to make sure that your child/children are able to use technology. This will help with they are able to use them independently.
My greatest concern for using these websites is if teachers are using them incorrectly. They should not teach the class but be used in a way that helps the students learn more about math and interact with technology. Another concern I have is for the children to learn the technology that they are able to use when given the oppourtunity. Although technology is becoming a popular thing and newer technology are being produced, children should not become to dependent on technology. Up-to-Date computers in the classroom will allow the children to learn more about how to maneuver on the computer as well as teaching it to be used in an educational way. My Last concern for technology in math is whether children will have a teacher who will incorporate technology in the classroom. This is important for the children to have oppourtunities to explore technology as the production grows, but also use it to gain more information about Math and other resources.
